Naomi had the right idea. Just relax on the beach. It was super smoky the night before with all the fireworks, but I was happy to see the sky was blue and it was all clear the next day.

I have celebrated New Years all over the country- from different parts of CA, Reno and LV, NV, Utah, to New York and Canada, I have never seen a New Years celebration like Hawaii. It was crazy fun. And we just went to a nearby neighborhood and the firework show was way better than a professional show. They had every firework you could think of, from the little ones on the ground to the big ones up in the air. The sky was red and filled with smoke. But the next day it was back to the sunny blue skies.

Mele turned 28 on Dec. 31st. We first went to Buca De Peppo for a birthday lunch and then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Kamauu's house to celebrate New Years and birthday. Happy Birthday and we love you!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! We spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Kamauu's house and waited for Santa. We spent the day and the next day there. My dad's family came over for the afternoon and evening. It was such a wonderful day.

Christmas Eve

We started our Christmas eve with opening presents from the DeMille family. We skyped with Grandma and Grandpa DeMille. This worked out the best for both of us.

Then went to Grandma and Grandpa Kamauu's house for a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner.

Polar Express

My mom and dad came over sunday night with a fun surprise. They had us go into Naomi's room and read a christmas story and make sure our door was unlocked. They quietly set up our living room and when they were ready my mom came and got us and brought us out to the table. They played the Polar Express story. Naomi LOVED it. We had hot chocolate and candies as we listened to the story. Then at the end we each got our own bell. Naomi was so funny. She couldn't believe she was staying up late and eating candy. After they left Naomi was on a sugar high. Here is a funny video of her running around the table. This video is after she had been running around the table for a few minuets.

Trip to CA

We went to Grandma and Grandpa DeMille's house. We took a red-eye flight out midnight on 12/7 and arrived early on 12/8. Then flew back 12/14. The flight to CA went great. Naomi slept the whole time and we made it in about 4 1/2hrs. The flight coming home was a little rough for me. We were delayed, then it took us almost 6hrs and it was really bumpy. I threw up a couple of times on the plane. But Naomi did great and slept on that flight as well.

We had such a fun time visiting Grandma and Grandpa DeMille, Brandon and Darcie and their family, Bekah and Kyle and A-team. It was a great trip. Below is a cute video of Grandpa DeMille and Naomi.

Cirque Du Soleil

Matt and I went to Cirque Du Soleil with Bekah and Kyle in San Francisco. Naomi stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa DeMille. It was an awesome show and so much fun to visit with Bekah and Kyle.

We took Naomi to Build a Bear. She made a bear for baby sister and will bring it when she first meets her sister. She picked out the bear and everything. She had a lot of fun.

We saw Brandon and Darcie on Saturday. Matt and I were able to attend the Sacramento temple in the morning, while Naomi hung out with her cousins. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon with everyone. It was a great visit. Naomi's favorite part was jumping in Ian's bed with Maren. See the cute video.

Visiting the A-team

We went to the A-team's house on sunday afternoon. Bekah and Kyle meet us there too. We had such a fun visit and Naomi loved playing with her cousins.
